Ones to Watch

Jake Connor
The Man of Steel gets his first outing of the new year against the Bulls as he moves permanently into the second-half back shirt alongside Brodie Croft. Connor's outstanding 2025 season, in which he led the club in points and goals across all competitions and set new club records, was rewarded when he became the fifth player to win the league's top award with the Rhinos, and he looks to go a step further in 2026 as the Rhinos eye an Old Trafford return.
Waqa Blake
Fijian international Blake gave Super League a glimpse of his potential before being released by Saints at the end of the 2024 season. Picked up by Bradford as the club pushed for promotion, the centre only missed one game in all competitions for the Bulls and recorded 14 tries.
Prior to moving to the UK, Blake amassed 165 total appearances in the NRL over spells with Penrith and Parramatta. Off the production line of the Panthers' Academy set up, Blake mixed first-team experience with helping the club lift the NSW Cup in 2014 as he was a try scorer in the side's 48-12 win over Newcastle. His finals experience extended to his NRL career too as he reached the semi finals with the Panthers in 2018, and the Eels in 2019, 2020 and 2021 as well as the Grand Final outing in 2022.
